Noosa

What began as a surfing haven in the 60's has now become one of Australia's most exclusive resorts.  Noosa has developed a trendy cafe-latte landscape without losing site of simple seaside pleasures.

Our hotel on Hastings St which is where it all happens.

We arrived for the Easter Week-end which is the last public holiday for the Aussie summer.  Everyone tries to get away, and a lot had chosen Noosa!

A quiet beach!

It's not every town that has pelicans perched on the lamp posts..

We escaped north up to Rainbow Beach and the Carlow Sandblow - a 120m high dune overlooking the tiny town.  This is an amazing natural feature which would make even the most cynical sightseer gasp.
