The Trans-Pennine Trail is a Millennium Project that created a cycle and footpath stretching across the country from Southport in the west to Hornsea in the east.
The 245 mile route is 80% off-road with a high point over the Pennine backbone of England.
Trevor, Derek, Ray and Laurie took four and a half days to complete the route in June 2005.
The trip co-incided with one of the hottest weeks of the year.
