The pups are doing really well in weaning off Mum and munching their way through solid food. They are now a healthy 1.4kg!
These photos were taken yesterday evening (26th Sept- 16 days old)….
I can’t believe how much they have grown in two weeks.
They are starting on some solid food now…at this rate we will need a bigger play pen!
I didn’t think it was possible but I am getting more giddy with every set of photos Tracey sends us.
7am and the door bells rings…the Delivery man had nearly given himself an hernia carrying our next purchase up the steps to the front door.
Thankfully Laurie had answered the door, both for me and the delivery man, as he could ‘lift’ it over the door step.
We are now in possession of a wonderful Crufts Freedom Puppy Pen.
All those years of practising with Ikea ‘allen keys’ will hopefully help us in the construction of this engineering monster. We will get our cuddly Labrador models to pose once we have conquered the puppy pen.
How spoilt are these boys going to be
Added (much) later….
Laurie met a friend, Christine, for lunch. During which the pups came into the conversation…
Time to go and Laurie proudly shows Chris the new dog box, she cracks out laughing, Laurie had no idea the cuddly dogs were still in there!
We have spent hours on the internet looking at puppy pens, crates, and boxes. How life has changed since we got Bogart and Charlie. You forget how ‘new’ the internet is.
Having decided on the puppy pen we wanted, we placed the order. The neighbours are great and are on parcel watch!
A Dog Box for the car…we drove to Market Rasen to visit Lintran. It is a lovely sunny day and they were really helpful.
We are now the new owners of a very nice Dog box in the car. Two of our ‘cuddly pups’ pose showing us how tiny Reggie and Bartie will be when they initially get into it!
Tracey sent us our first puppy pictures today… 1 day old pups!
Sooooooooo Cute. Somewhere in there are Reggie and Bartie Woo Hoo!

Tracey will be keeping one of the girls : http://www.tj-canine.co.uk/90290/info.php?p=4
Tracey phoned to let us know that Megan had given birth to her beautiful litter.
Megan started in labour on Thursday (9th) and the litter were all finally born by 15.30 on Friday 10th.
4 Black boys, 1 chocolate boy, 2 chocolate girls
We are soooo giddy we had to raise a glass or two to celebrate.
I never thought we would be this anxious about the birth of ‘our boys’. Everytime I get a text message or an e-mail I have to look at it NOW in case it’s news about the pups.
I am having to control myself not to e-mail Tracey every few hours to see if there is any news. Last time Tracey e-mailed me was 10 days ago and she was giddy then so I know see will be worse than me now.
Hopefully tonight or tomorrow Megan will have her litter then I can concentrate on just being giddy and start the countdown to going to see them.
My friends keep texting and e-mailing to ask if I know anything yet I have to keep saying ‘Not yet’ When I do know something they will be able to hear our whoops where ever they are!
All fingers are crossed for this week! All our friends are on puppy watch, everything is crossed. Paths are being worn in the carpets where we are pacing, nails are being chewed.
Providing Megan has at least three boys, two of which are black, Our preference would be two black, we are warming to one black, one chocolate, don’t think we can stretch to two chocolate!, We will become puppy parents this week sometime.
