Day 81
March 22, 2010It was very hot and humid in Singapore today, quite unpleasant at times. We wandered down to Chinatown and the little streets were airless.
These fans were on sale by one of the street vendors and caught my eye.

A morning shopping to start to refill the fridge and freezers. Fuzzy jet-lagged brains take over come the afternoon.
These dwarf narcissus are the only colour in the garden at present, but a sure sign that Spring is on it’s way. However, it’s not very warm outside, just 12c, brrrrr…..
We have a great dinner with our friends in their picture-postcard cottage.
As the sun starts to set the 400 year old stone seems almost to come alive.
As it started to go dark we were in for a real treat…..
They have badgers that come to their back door. At one point there were three of them together.
These aren’t great photographs as they were taken by electric light and through a glass door. We tried to open the door slightly but they were very wary and scuttled off into the bushes.
I have never been close to wild badgers, it was an amazing experience.
We went to the theatre this evening. I walked ten times further than I had since the op and regretted it.
I also forgot to take my camera!
It was a beautiful evening and the sun was just right. So I used my mobile phone camera. Not brilliant but…..
Kairen was busy cooking dinner and this colourful stir fry became today”s photos
A short visit to Chatsworth House today to view some of the changes they have made and a chance to take a wide angle shot from a new vantage point above the Painted Hall.
We are away this week and postings may be erratic and subject to internet availability.
The theme for this week is Seaside…I wonder why?
