A very windy day today. The sea was so rough!
A strange day….discussing our plans for next year
A heavy night last night and the surviving brain cell is proving illusive this morning.
However, a walk on the beach (someone has to do it!) and today’s photo is there above our heads.
The Primaries is an old warehouse that has been converted into much sought after $1m+ apartments.
The best fish and chips in Western Australia……..the last of the ‘red’ theme!
Indiana was once known as the ‘Indiana Tea House’. The original building was a shack-like composite, which originated in 1910, had a quaint tea room and ice-cream parlour. It served as a pit-stop for the playground that was Cottesloe Beach, Perth’s top spot for surf, sand and sun.
Family and friends of Heath Ledger (The Joker in The Dark Knight) met here in 2008 for his wake after his funeral in Fremantle Cemetery. News link
Spring 2009 renovations have re-launched Indiana as a Modern Beach Bistro
Well I know that this week is supposed to be hats…..
We had a day in Perth today and I really liked this photo of the Swan Bells. It’s sort of hat shaped!
The Swan Bell Tower is 82.5 metres tall and contains twelve bells of St. Martin-in-the-Fields from the 14th Century and which were recast in the 16th Century by Queen Elizabeth I.
Commemorating Australia’s bicentenary in 1988, the twelve bells of St Martin-in-the-Fields as well as five specially cast bells were presented to the City of Perth and to the people of Western Australia, by the people of London.
