A Bank Holiday week-end and we take a pleasant walk around Thornton Reservoir near Leicester.
This interesting shingle roof took my fancy
We have a great dinner with our friends in their picture-postcard cottage.
As the sun starts to set the 400 year old stone seems almost to come alive.
As it started to go dark we were in for a real treat…..
They have badgers that come to their back door. At one point there were three of them together.
These aren’t great photographs as they were taken by electric light and through a glass door. We tried to open the door slightly but they were very wary and scuttled off into the bushes.
I have never been close to wild badgers, it was an amazing experience.
These beautiful pansies were just too good to miss….
Kairen was setting the table for a dinner party we are having on Saturday evening and she suggested this as a subject.
Good spot!
A long day shopping today and we picked up a large pack of asparagus for the week-end. A visit to the fridge inspired me…..
Unfortunately it’s uncooked and could do with lashings of butter!
Most of the afternoon doing some DIY in preparation for the makeover of our front garden.
