We have a a very pretty Christmas tree on the green just down the road. Many thanks to those you made this happen. We pass it almost every day and is looking particularly well with the recent snowfall.
These ponies are clearly being looked after and well-fed, but they must be feeling the bitter cold.
Not a lot of playing going on…..
Out walking the puppies today and the sky suddenly started to darken, threatening snow through the sunshine. The frost overnight had been very hard and the trees a frozen spectacle……and I had forgotten my camera!!!
Luckily I had my phone.
The frost has added a frozen edge to our weathervane
The history of coal mining in our area goes back to the 17th century and in the 19th century there were around a dozen mines in Barlborough.
A memorial to all the men who worked in the mines, in the form of a pit head winding wheel was erected on the on the site of the country park in 2007.
The puppies are teething and they take the opportunity to chew almost anything. So far we have managed to avoid any disasters but several threats of glue factories in Shanghai have been issued…..
