Louise’s operation went well and much relieved we eventually got to bed.
We flew out of Perth today and by chance our path took us over Fremantle. This isn’t a great photo but I took this picture from the aircraft window as we climbed over Freo.
The white tip of the Maritime Museum is clearly visible at the mouth of the harbour.

Comments rssA lazy day in Singapore wandering the shops. We have a beautiful hotel room overlooking the city. Given that we have a busy and varied week I’ll have an open theme this week.
It’s very humid and we were still out wandering late into the evening. This was the very last picture that I took, of reflections in the pools outside the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay.
Great News… Louise is home and well!

TrackbackAmazing news from Freo! We’ve only been left 48 hours and after no rain since November they have 35mm in one hour! People were wading thigh deep on the road behind our house and swimming across the Esplanade Park. Chris’s friend has 300 dents in a brand new Jaguar, caused by golf ball sized hailstones.

Comments rssAfter a 14 hour flight and rush hour drive from London Heathrow to home we eventually arrived back to our beautiful home. Five months away is a long time, probably too long.
Our wonderful neighbours had arranged a full-English breakfast to welcome us back. Friends were visiting all day and the telephone never stopped. We had flowers and cards to say welcome home.
Jet-lagged and very tired after 36 hours on the go we gave in to befuddled brains and hit the bed at 9pm. We were awake and drinking tea again at 3am!

These dwarf narcissus are the only colour in the garden at present, but a sure sign that Spring is on it’s way. However, it’s not very warm outside, just 12c, brrrrr…..
