Still as hot as hell!
This week’s theme is ‘Shiny‘. Should be lots of ‘sparkling’ inspiration!
An early start this morning to welcome the Queen Victoria cruise ship into port.
For all the shipping enthusiasts…..
Queen Victoria is not an ocean liner as she does not have the heavy plating, high freeboard, and propulsion system of a liner, but is outfitted as a cruise ship. Some ship aficionados have criticised Cunard for naming this ship as a Queen; the designation having previously been reserved for the line’s ocean liners and flagships (Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Elizabeth 2, and Queen Mary 2). It has been suggested that the Queen Victoria should have borne the name of one of Cunard’s previous smaller ships, such as the Mauretania, orAquitania, as was done with the last Caronia, which served Cunard between 1999 and 2004.
Having said that, she is a very pretty ship:-
……what comes in, must go out…The Queen Victoria departs
Wow! That’s two months completed!
We’re having lots of fun with the ‘Shiny’ theme.
Sorry, I ate all the olives……
The ‘shiny‘ theme is really good…it stretches the skills too!
It’s proving really tricky to keep myself out of the picture, with all the reflections
The good news is that it’s a little cooler today…..
The biggest ever Sculpture by the Sea kicked off in Cottesloe today, with 64 pieces displayed on the popular beach.
Another shiny sculpture that probably links into next weeks theme too.
