Well this is the century!
It’s a beautiful day so it sets the theme of ‘Spring‘
The garden is full of butterflies.
Well it’s back to the gym today.
Fortunately our gym is in a beautiful local school Mount St Mary’s College which was first founded by Jesuit fathers at Stanley Grange near Derby in 1620. After numerous changes, the College in it’s present form and location was formally opened in 1842. The College buildings date, in part, from the 16th and 17th centuries.
Joseph Hansom, an architect and inventor of the Hansom Cab, built the first College buildings in 1840. One of it’s more famous pupils was J C Bamford who gave his initials to the JCB.
The college is looking beautiful this spring. The sky is almost as blue as in Freo !
The daffodils are looking nice in Whitwell Woods, but it is a very crisp and cold day!
These hyacinths have been filling the house with their wonderful fragrance all week.
An evening out at the theatre in Sheffield to see Calendar Girls. What a great show and amazed to see the transformation in the city centre. I’ll be back with my camera!
The last ‘Spring‘ photo…..
These Lobelia’s are basking in the springtime sun and not affected by volcanic ash which has paralysed our air transport systems.
